Spending less than I earn sounds so simple.
Why then is it so difficult?
Anything that involves our emotions is complex and challenging. We need to understand why we spend the way we do.
We need to recognise why we think that ‘winter’ cushion will make us feel better, or if that particular car we have longed for is really worth taking that loan and going into debt?
We need to come to the realisation that It isn’t about the cushion or the car, it is about our self-worth.
It is only fair to our children to practice what we preach and spend less than we earn! We can’t expect our children to do what we say and not as we do! We must stop kidding ourselves.
